Feminist Festival
The Feminist Festival is a colorful and empowering annual event that brings together artists, activists, feminists, and organizations to celebrate womanhood, creativity, and resistance. Through panel discussions, performances, exhibitions, and interactive spaces, the festival sparks dialogue about feminism, mental health, sexuality, and body autonomy.
It is not only a space for celebration but also a site of healing and learning, where women come together to share experiences, network, and collaborate. The festival embodies the spirit of joy as resistance, reminding us that feminist activism can be both radical and joyful.

Feminist Brunch
The Feminist Brunch is a signature SSF gathering that nurtures community, dialogue, and collaboration. Over a casual meal, feminists from diverse backgrounds come together to discuss pressing issues, share ideas, and support one another.
The brunch encourages intergenerational mentorship and networking, creating opportunities for collaboration between young feminists and established activists. It’s a soft yet powerful space—one that centers care, connection, and conversation as forms of feminist action.
Feminist March
The Feminist March is one of SSF’s most visible and impactful advocacy efforts. It serves as a public demonstration of solidarity, courage, and resistance, bringing together women, girls, and allies to demand justice and equality.
The march highlights pressing issues such as sexual violence, reproductive rights, workplace discrimination, and digital gender-based violence. It gives marginalized voices a platform to be heard and challenges the patriarchal systems that silence them.
While the march has faced public backlash and even led to arrests of SSF members, it remains a defining moment of bravery in Zambia’s feminist movement. It is more than an event—it is a symbol of resilience, collective power, and unwavering commitment to liberation.
